Pascal Van Hentenryck is the Seth Bonder Collegiate Professor of Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan. He is also a professor of Computer Science and Engineering and a core faculty at the Michigan Institute of Data Science. His current research is at the intersection of data science and optimization with applications in energy, marketing, and transportation. Van Hentenryck is the author of five books published by the MIT Press and a number of optimization systems that have been widely used in industry and academia. He also teaches a MOOC on discrete optimization.
